Curriculum Overview

The Middle School Programme  is a curriculum framework providing a broad and balanced education for learners aged 11–14. The Middle School Programme is designed to encourage students to make connections between all subject areas, link their learning to the world around them, and become critical and reflective thinkers and is based on the Cambridge Programme. At our school we offer the Middle School Programme to Grade 8.

In Grade 6, all classroom instruction is delivered in English, and mainly follows the National Curriculum of England and partly follows the Units of Inquiry of the International Baccalaureate.

External Assessment in Grades 6, 7 & 8:

  • Narrative Writing, Exposition Writing, Reading Comprehension and Mathematical Literacy are assessed externally through the International Schools Assessment (ISA)
  • French is assessed through DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) at The Alliance Francaise.
